Neues aus Luxemburg
Le Luxembourg participera en force à la foire «Webhosting Day» 2010 à Brühl, près de Cologne, en Allemagne. Parmi les quelque 60 exposants figurent six représentants du Grand-Duché.
La présence de multiples acteurs luxembourgeois (à savoir l’Entreprise des Postes et Télécommunications, Datacenter Luxembourg, Visual Online, Lu-Cix, GateSecure et Luxembourg for ICT) est l’expression d’une forte volonté de tous les acteurs à participer au développement du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg comme un centre pour les activités TIC (technologies d’information et de communication).
Les efforts réalisés au Luxembourg au cours des dernières années ont donné lieu à un environnement propice aux activités TIC, confirmé par l’implantation de grands noms comme Amazon.com, PayPal ou iTunes.
Le Luxembourg a ainsi non seulement consacré des investissements importants dans le développement des infrastructures et de réseaux de très haut niveau mais a également su adapter son cadre règlementaire aux besoins de l’économie numérique. De plus, le lancement récent du nouveau point d’échange Internet commercial Lu-Cix représente un atout supplémentaire.
Une table ronde dédiée au Luxembourg aura lieu dans le cadre du programme officiel du « Webhosting Day 2010 ». Elle se déroulera le 18 mars 2010 à partir de 16 heures.

Luxembourg’s presence at the 2010 Webhosting Day in Brühl (close to Cologne in Germany) will not go unnoticed. Among the 60 exhibitors at the trade show, six originate from the Grand Duchy.
The strong presence of Luxembourg companies (including P&T Luxembourg, Datacenter Luxembourg, Visual Online, Lu-Cix, GateSecure and Luxembourg for ICT) shows the country’s commitment to becoming a top European location to establish an ICT-related business.
During the past few years Luxembourg has gone to great length to create an outstanding environment that is boosting ICT activities. The success of this strategy speaks for itself: Amazon.com, PayPal and iTunes have all chosen Luxembourg as their European headquarters.
Luxembourg has not only made huge investments to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure and networks; it has also succeeded in adapting its regulatory framework to the needs of the digital economy. The Internet exchange platform Lu-Cix which was only recently launched adds to Luxembourg’s attractiveness as a center of ICT excellence.
A round table discussion dedicated to Luxembourg’s position in the digital economy is scheduled to take place on 18 March at 4:00 p.m. as part of the official program of the Webhosting Day 2010.

Luxemburgs Präsenz beim Webhosting Day 2010 in Brühl bei Köln wird nicht unbemerkt bleiben. Sechs der über 60 Aussteller dieser Fachmesse kommen aus dem Großherzogtum.
Ziel der Luxemburger Firmen, zu denen P&T Luxembourg, Datacenter Luxembourg, Visual Online, Lu-Cix, GateSecure und Luxembourg for ICT zählen, ist es, auf die Stellung des Landes als eine der ersten Adressen unter Europas Zentren für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (ICT) hinzuweisen.
Die Anstrengungen der vergangenen Jahre haben für ein außerordentlich günstiges Umfeld für ICT-Aktivitäten gesorgt. Das haben auch Firmen wie Amazon.com, PayPal und iTunes erkannt, die ihre europäischen Geschäftssitze in Luxemburg angesiedelt haben.
Luxemburg hat nicht nur beachtliche Summen investiert, um eine Spitzeninfrastruktur und erstklassige Datennetze aufzubauen; es hat auch seinen gesetzlichen Rahmen angepaßt, der nunmehr genauestens auf die Bedürfnisse der Netzwirtschaft abgestimmt ist. Dazu bildet der jüngst eröffnete kommerzielle Internetknoten Lu-Cix einen einen besonderen Pluspukt für das Land.
Eine Diskussionsrunde zur Luxemburger Stellung in der europäischen digitalen Welt findet am 18. März ab 16 Uhr im Rahmen des offiziellen Programms der Fachausstellung Webhosting Day 2010 statt.
